1967 Corvette
1967 closed out the C2 Sting Ray, and plenty of people who know these cars will tell you it is the cleanest of the five years. Chevrolet spent 1963 to 1966 adding things, then spent 1967 taking them back off.
Concours work is a different discipline from a resto mod, and it suits a different kind of owner. Nothing gets improved. Everything gets made correct, down to the finishes and the fasteners, because the judging happens with a flashlight and a clipboard and the person holding them has seen more of these cars than you have.
