1967 Camaro
1967 was the first year of the Camaro, Chevrolet's answer to a Mustang that had been selling unopposed for two and a half years. First generation cars are still the ones people ask us about most, and there is a reason: the proportions are right, the aftermarket is deep, and almost anything you want to do to one has been done well by somebody before you.
This car belonged to former Top Fuel driver Cristen Powell, and it was restored in the 1,140 square foot double garage and car port the business started out of in 1992. Chevy High Performance ran it in the July 1998 issue.
It is a fair marker of how far the shop has come. The building has changed a few times since. The standard has not.
